Daugiau erdvės, daugiau ... read more
Addition to the Museum
Today (and last Wednesday) we added a few new items to our online museum. Adding to your online museum is not a frequent thing. We actually have a lot of equipment, it's just very difficult to take the time for photos and descriptions. We will try to make this process more frequent. We would also like to announce that we have an electronic notebook section in our museum. A PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) section is also planned. This is ... read more
Purchase of computers
Our project „Old Computers” is a hobby of two enthusiasts (Andrej Galin and Denis Spivačenko). The areas of activity are museum (retro) computer equipment, modern computer equipment, communication equipment and other electronics. The main focus is on old (retro) computer equipment and repairs. Buying computers is not our main activity. It is only one of the resources of the project. Sometimes we use old equipment as „donors” (spare parts). Sometimes we manage to ... read more

Getting to Joniskis
In this video, we tell you about our trip to Joniškis to see Rolandas. Rolandas has been following our project and offered us a lot of old electronics for a good price. We didn't expect there to be so much of everything. We imagined that it would be quite a lot, but in our minds we visualised things differently. In other words, we were easily shocked. As it turned out, Rolandas collects model cars. His collection already includes more than ... read more
USB port speeds
When copying data to a USB stick, we often look at the data transfer rate. If the copying process takes a while, we usually blame the flash drive itself. However, if your computer has a very old USB port, this may be the reason for slow data copying. In this article we will give a brief history of USB ports. We will look at port versions and data transfer speeds. What is USB? USB (Universal Serial Bus) ... read more

On 23 August, we received a rather large consignment of old computers. I called that trip „3rd batch”. We get computers for the museum from all over Lithuania. Sometimes even from abroad. Most of the time it's single copies from people. But sometimes there are large batches of electronics. Companies, people... It varies. The principle of „... he who seeks, finds” is at work here. We have already had 3 large batches of electronics. Now comes ... read more
